Policies

1. Tuition is due on the 1^st of each month. Head checks are required at time of registration. Tuition for the year is figured in advance and is the same every month, even if the student misses class or there is a holiday. A $10.00 late fee may be charged for tuition not received by the 10^th of the month. There is a $25.00 returned check fee.  
2. Students are encouraged to make up missed classes.  Make-up classes can be taken in a class of a lower level if available or in a class of a different discipline.
3. BJDT must be notified of any student dropping classes by the 10^th of the month, or they will be billed for the entire month. Students have the option of dropping out of the program only until January 1, 2010.
4. Regular attendance is absolutely necessary to learn proper technique, develop self-confidence, and for the entire class to progress.
5. Please be ready on time for class. Arriving five minutes before class allows time for the student to be ready when class begins.
6. BJDT is not responsible for personal property. Please do not bring anything valuable to the studio.
7. Hair should be worn up and away from the face. No loose hair is allowed for any class.
8. Please adhere to the BJDT dress code.
9. No loose jewelry may be worn for any class.
10. Please be on time to pick up your children.
11. No food or drink is allowed in the studio.
12. Please do not enter the studio until the previous class has been dismissed.
13. In case of inclement weather, please call one hour prior to class.

Dress Code

• Jazz – Leotard, tights, and ballet skirt, or leotard and pants, jazz shoes.

• Tap – Tap shoes, no skirts longer than mid-calf.

• Hip Hop – Loose comfortable clothing (loose pants preferred), no skirts longer than mid-calf, sneakers (worn only at the studio).

Creative Movement/Pre-Ballet: Theatrical Pink Leotard

Ballet I: Navy Leotard

Ballet II:  Purple Leotard

Ballet III:  Kelly Green Leotard

Leotards and ballet skirts should be purchased from the studio.
